Since The Championships Wimbledon 2012 kicked off five days ago everything in London has been about tennis and the question if Andy Murray would be defeated in his own territory… of course it has been about football with the Euro 2012 as well, but we live it just from our screens, whereas Wimbledon is a whole experience in a full day of tennis matches, the world’s top tennis players and hanging around inside the lovely All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club with an amazing atmosphere. Guess what? I was lucky enough to meet Federer!!! Also spotted John McEnroe (also known for his ‘you cannot be serious!’) and the Venezuelan tennis leyend Nicolas Pereira, who I immediately caught for his accent!

As Polo Ralph Lauren is the official outfitter of The Championships, all the judges, linemen and even the ball boys and girls wear Ralph Lauren’s heritage designs, from classic polo shirts to navy blue blazers and khaki trousers. And as it is a tournament rule, all the players’ outfits are all white. I must say that I am not a tennis’ fan as some of my friends are, but for it being my first visit at The Championships I was a very lucky girl!

I had the amazing opportunity of being Nadia Petrova’s guest for the whole day so THANK YOU so much to her and her manager Monica Vila. Wishing her the best of luck during the tournament following her win yesterday. Go Nadia!
