NEW IN: GEMPORIA’S CITRINE AND GARNET RING

By May 22, 2014 NEW IN

When you think of beautiful gorgeous jewellery, you might also think of how expensive they can be. Truth is, they are. According to De Beers, men should spend at least “two months salary” on an engagement ring (myth) – diamonds are a precious, yet expensive, stone. But in the modern century we live in, we can all afford that feminine luxury thanks to new jewellers, just like Gemporia.

I was recently introduced to this great jewellery brand that thanks to the way they work directly with communities where gemstones are found, they can produce top quality, affordable jewellery, with a wallet-friendly price tag.  The designs are gorgeous and the fruitlicous theme a timeless one for colourful spirits. This orange striking ring with vibrant tangerine Citrine and Garnet is from the zestful Copa collection that has some beautiful statement pieces featuring pineapples, apples and this uber cool slice of orange –  a cool statement ring for daily wear. Fun and chic.

Peter Pilotto for Target via Net-A-Porter

By February 27, 2014 NEW IN

Peter Pilotto’s collection for Target was quite a success. Some of you may had written on your diaries the date the collection came out, earlier this month. The big news? For the first time it would be shipped worldwide through Net-A-Porter, however, I must say I was  a bit disappointed that the online luxury store didn’t have the entire collection, but just a selection, with almost all of them sold out within hours. My wishlist wasn’t there, obvs, all the items were available only at the American store, Target. Leaving that on the side, I still wanted a piece or two from these bargains! Who would miss a Peter Pilotto design for such price tag? Not many people, of course. It’s that same effect of some designers’ collaborations with H&M. Do you remember the latest success of Isabel Marant’s collection for the swedish high-street shop? We all go gaga when  shopping our favourite’s designs for a bargain.

Anyhow, I got hold of a couple of pieces, this being a shirt and transparent clutch form the iconic print from the capsule collection. But searching the web, I just realised that lots of the garments are back in stock on Net-A-Porter! So it’s not too late to grab yours! I already spotted a few favourites that are now available – and not for long!

All I want for Christmas is… MICHAEL KORS STUDDED PUMPS

By December 17, 2013 NEW IN

There’s nothing like a classic pair of pointy pumps. But instead of going for the classic option, I ended up finding myself choosing the pair of shoes that the street won’t be able to miss. With a golden studded toe cap and a gold acetate heel, this pair will rock a classic outfit. If you ever felt that the pointy heels were for more ‘mature’ fashion tastes, some serious studs could clearly made it wearable for ‘modern’ ladies, that yet like to join that classic elegance (with a twist).

There’s also a little secret behind these shoes. I bought them for an incredible price tag. So here I come with a great sales advice: Visit TheOutnet.com, the outlet of net-a-porter. The online retail of designer sales gets new stock every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday – and from times to times I happen to skim it all through. Recently, they had a new delivery of Michael Kors’ collection and I spotted this pair of leather heels for £80. That’s what you would pay for any pair of  leather shoes in the High Street, even leather shoes in Zara are  a bit more than that. So, I thought of treating myself with a nice bargain after so much hard work! Ha! Plus, it was about time! They are pretty much my style, have a decent height and the studs really winked at me and my wallet while saying “you won’t resist me”. So I didn’t and they have been delivered just before Christmas. First an Isabel Marant awesome jacket, now a present for me from me awaits under the tree. Sorry, awaited. I’m wearing them as we speak.

All I want for Christmas is… ISABEL MARANT BOMBER JACKET

By December 12, 2013 NEW IN
marant-jacket-1

Who wouldn’t love to see an Isabel Marant beautifully wrapped bag under the tree this Christmas? I was lucky enough to have mine, and since a very special Santa landed my town a bit earlier, I just couldn’t resist and wait till Christmas Day to open it. So I did…. And I’m utterly in love now with this gorgeous Marant bomber jacket with leather sleeves.

You might remember the recent chaos in H&M stores and the moment its website collapsed as soon its H&M collaboration with the French designer went live. Every single piece was sold out within hours and even seen on eBay later on for three times its original price. Being able to get hold of one of the exclusive items, and of course, of a Marant design for a bargain was kind of priceless. However, this absolutely beautiful, yet cool, biker/bomber jacket can’t even compare. It is a most definite special garment in my wardrobe. Thanks to a very special lady, who not only is my loyal reader, but a very fashionable Londoner! Now, get an official first “Merry Christmas!”.

BOUX AVENUE: A LINGERIE EXPERIENCE

By December 9, 2013 NEW IN

Ladies, let me introduce you to Boux Avenue, the perfect destination for glamorous ladies. Imagine entering a store, wanting everything, without actually needing anything. Sounds familiar?

Boux Avenue is a boutique that makes you feel a bit more special… a bit more cosy… a bit more SEXY! Boom!

I was surprised with the variety of lingerie they had and how beautifully they fit, plus the pretty much affordable prices. Bras’ are around £25 and underwear £6 each.

Even more exciting, they offer a free fitting service, in which a specialist (lady) measures you and advises what shape and size fits your body and shape best; yes, for free.

One thing I can promise, you’ll feel pampered while you’re in the fitting rooms, each room is named under lingerie classic fabrics such as Lace, Satin…; Plus, you can choose form a selection of lights (day, dusk, night) so you can see how the lingerie fits you under different lights. And any if you need any other size, press the concierge buttom and your stylist is waiting for you just right there.

I chose the classic lingerie colours black and red for Christmassy outfits, plus a completely new shape (the black bra) that gives the perfect silhouette. For stay-in nights these slippers and the winter candles are just the perfect conmbination, with of course, a hot tea and a cosy blanket. Looking for Christmas presents? Not a bad idea!

Happy winter…

New in: Fedora wool hat

There’s nothing like a nice wool Fedora hat for winter, and if it comes with a special feather touch even better. For long I’ve been trying hats in shops in the search of a new winter favourite accessory, but none of them convinced me enough. If it wasn’t the shape, size or details, it was the unmatchable price tag. So, surprinsingly and totally unexpected I walked pass by Accessorize and found THIS! Tried it on and felt it was the one. Made of 100% wool it was a bargain.
