Checkered shorts

It’s been a short while since I spotted this pair of checkered printed shorts in Zara and since I’ve been in love with all the black & white wave, plus completely in love with Louis Vuitton SS13 collection, I didn’t think it much. Not only that, it also has the neon detail on the back pocket, another thing going on when I go window shopping. It’s that sporty, yet stylish garment of the outfit. Also lately, I’ve been in the mood of wearing accessories on my head. In the search for it in my drawers, I found this old headband I wore as a bridesmaid for my cousin’s wedding. I just managed to find a pic from that day, see at the bottom…

Dior’s La Vie en Rose

As Paris Fashion Week kicks off I though it was the perfect time to share one of the best French classics in music history, Edith Piaf’s ‘La Vie en Rose’, and its Grace Jones version in the latest French fragrance ‘Miss Dior’, which is supposedly as sweet as the pink blooming pictures in the background. It is not another ad, but a video directed by Sophia Copolla and starring one of my Hollywood favourites and absolute beauty Natalie Portman, who has been the face for Dior beauty product for two years already.

While being in the American West on my Christmas holidays I went to the rooftop of a shopping mall in Denver… Loved the beautiful view and the mountains hiding at the back of the city -perfect for this shoot! This can possibly be the most colourful matchy match you have ever seen on me. A perfect orange combination of accessories for a sunny day during winter, this look is an example of how much accessories can do, don’t you agree?

Happy Friday world! It’s been a way better week so far and I just can’t wait the weekend to begin! Keeping up with the outfits, here’s one Zara’s studded blouse from its new collection in store… Lots of olive green and camouflage has invaded our sight, so I added a bit of bright mustard to this look with this Moto skinny jeans. And of course, the ‘Cheyenne’ Modalu was just perfect for it. Oh, and the print of the shirt might be a tartan, yes, like the Scottish one, but it actually makes me think of a super cool modern wild west… So far, a week of spikes and studs. This outfit reveals the hidden feline spirit inside me with this catwoman S/S 12 Dior sunnies, animal print jeans and big leather bag, without mentioning that sexy shoulders jacket, my mom surprised me with recently and I just love. It wasn’t a day of long walks, so those high heels worked perfectly, and, together with the necklace, adds a light colour to the look.

Este outfit trae consigo un espiritu felino con esos lentes Dior de Primavera/Verano 12, jeans con estampado animal y grande cartera de cuero, sin mencionar los sexy hombros de esta chaqueta, con la cual mi mama me sorprendió recientemente y me encanta. No fue un dia de caminatas en Londres, asi que esos heels funcionaron perfectamente y, junto con el collar, añade un toque colorido al look.

After revealing that I got braces, here are the first pictures with them on. It was a sunny day in London yesterday, although still really cold. I felt like adding a bit of colour to my day with that green shirt and that really old ring that I found recently in a box. Green apple, undoubtedly, my favourite colour… Tomorrow London Fashion Week kicks off and I just can’t wait! Hope you are all having a great week so far… See you at the catwalks!

Despues de revelar mis braces, aqui van las primeras fotos con ellos. Ayer fue un dia soleado en Londres, aunque muy frio aun. Queria agregar n poco de color a mi dia con esa blusa verde y ese viejo anillo que aparecio recientemente en una caja. Verde manzana, definitivamente, mi color favorito… Manana comienza el London Fashion Week y no puedo esperar! Espero su semana vaya excelente… Los veo en los catwalks!

I recently bought those boyish Leopard shoes, not quite my style but I like to take risks with my wardrobe. After all, that’s the key of being a bit different right? Eventually, I was going to get inspired and go out on them. And it happened a couple of weeks ago on a sunny -not so cold- day in London! As they are really boyish, thought of that sexy leather skirt to balance it. Animal print rocking in a different way, do you like them?

Recientemente me compré esos zapatos de leopardo, tanta masculinidad no es mi estilo pero me gustan los riesgos con mi closet, al final esa es la clave de ser un poco diferente no? Eventualmente me iba a inspirar y salir con ellos. Y efectivamente los utilicé hace un par de semanas, en un dia soleado -no tan frio- de Londres. Como son bastante masculinos, pense en esa falda the cuero para balancearlo. Llevando el estampado de leopardo de una manera diferente, te gustan?
Madrid and olé!

Last week I was in serious need of escaping from gray London and running to a best friend closeby. So Madrid was it, sharing a couple of days with one of my best friends from childhood and gorgeous fashion designer Valentina Amengual. Although we gossiped non-stop, went for delicious tapas, enjoyed the San Miguel food market and even sang at karaokes, we managed to see the light at least once! We went for a fabulous walk at Retiro Park, where I wore my new Dior sunnies for the first time and had good fun with my camera taking great shots. In fact, these were the only pictures that I managed to recover, since I lost some other amazing photos of the outfit and the trip (depressing!). Moral? Keep always original pictures in the camera as long as you can and double back-up everything! However, here are some shots, I even caught a roller skater that made my day with his ‘forever young’ mood and happiness!
