I am in the Olympics mood and when I went to see a hockey match at the Olympic Park decided to shoot the outfit there, to also show a bit of the Stadium and Orbit Tower in the background. I got a bit excited and did my classic shot when visiting world’s landmarks, and that is jumping! (I know, what a nerdy tourist!) There was a colourful floor and lovely blue sky that matched the look. Also, I don’t know what it is about the turquoise, but I LOVE it. I realised I’ve got so many accessories and jewellery in this colour… What about you? Do you wear much turquoise? Have a great day!
As I have already prepared you, I am finally sitting down in front of my computer and posting a bunch of photos from the sensational Opening Ceremony I have been talking about for the last three days. Last Friday the Olympics started for me at noon with a fantastic day of pre, during and post Ceremony, of which you have already heard so much about. If you haven’t read/watch my previous posts on it yet, click here and here. And, as promised, here is what I wore for the pre-event of champagne reception, dinner and Opening Ceremony. I decided to go for this peplum floral dress and I did wear heels, but for the long (very long) walks in the Olympic Park I just swapped to ballerinas.
Again, I have no words to describe how magical it was to be there and share it with such wonderful people. Also as we were half British and half Venezuelans, we were cheering so much Team Great Britain and Venezuela, followed by singing together out loud ‘Hey Jude’, which made it even better… I leave you with all the photos of my full experience at the big opening of London Olympics 2012!
I was wearing –> Dress: Warehouse; Heels: Hugo Boss; Ballerinas: Topshop; Handbag: Modalu; Necklace: Tiffany; Ring: Militza Ortiz, Bracelet: Stella & Dot
As I told you right after the Olympics’ Opening Ceremony, I was speechless as I witnessed such a SPECTACULAR show and Danny Boyle’s sensational creation. If you ask me which were my favourite parts… Just watch this video, in which I put together some shots, but undoubtedly and in the following order I would say: Torch lightning (W-O-W!), Olympic rings coming together and Daniel Craig’s scene with the Queen (looking at the sky and seeing the union jack parachutes just like that classic James Bond scene was simply EPIC! Plus, The Queen was acting…). Oh, and how much I enjoyed Paul McCartney’s closing with ‘Hey Jude’.
Leave you with this as a preview of the bunch of photos that are coming up, including the pre-ceremony reception and outfit! Now, I’m off to catch some hockey at the Olympic Stadium, but then back to work! As you can see, I am fully in the Olympics mood… As they say, you either run away or join it, but since I stayed in London, let’s enjoy every Olympic opportunity that comes on the way (once in a lifetime).

PS: Karl Lagerfeld is in town launching a new collection and pop-up shop in Selfridges! Check out the Indy’s story and interview… The best headline: ‘It’ Karl’s world, we just live in it’
I have literally no words to explain the fabulous experience I had yesterday at the Opening Ceremony of the London Olympics 2012! My jaws dropped when entering to the stadium and then as the show began everything was just surreal! I felt a very lucky girl to have the wonderful opportunity of enjoying a fabulous reception and dinner with very special people, then followed by such an ‘olympic’ opening! Yes I did cheered the Venezuelan athletes like crazy and guess what? By coincidence I was seating just in front of Mario Testino (I’m a big fan!), what a charming man!
I have so much pictures and videos to upload and gather, so while I work on that here’s a resume of my Instagram pics! (Follow me to see them all @fashioninisideout)
Have a wonderful Olympic weekend and let the Games begin!!!
Finally the day has arrived and today the London Olympics 2012 will open to the world for a fantastic experience! It has been a great week so far, not only for the HOT sun shinning the city, but also for all the things going on ahead of the big event of the year. Yesterday was the torch relay, and as It crossed London I spotted it at some point (in Fulham), where the former captain of England’s rugby team, Lewis Moody, was holding it! I managed to take a quick picture with him and accidentally the sticker with his runner number got sticked on my hair… like I was a proper rugby fan!… Anyways, besides all this, I am SO excited that I am going to the Opening Ceremony today at the Olympic Stadium! I can’t thank enough the loyal follower of this blog Gabriela, who invited me to this unforgettable experience, as the tickets (see photos) ‘Your place in history’… Now, let the games begin!

Walking on Regent’s street I spotted window displays with the Olympic spirit… H&M had stylish athletes and others wish good luck to the world! Game on!
As I promised, here are some shots from my Sunday out and about in London, where Covent Garden was feeling the Games’ vibe, not only for all the decoration, but also for all the tourists around. Looking at the London Olympics’ mascots, I found my twin one dressed very similar to me, with a camera hanging on his neck, just like my shirt; an opened one over it, just like my jean shirt, and mustard trousers, just like mines! Could we have possibly planned it and get that close? No chance. Nothing like finding your copycat…or copycating? Anyways, let me introduce you to ‘Tourist Wenlock’, the single-eye mascot greeting visitors in the Covent Garden market during the Olympics. Also, isn’t that shirt the coolest? I spotted it at the market in Portobello Road, they’ve got the most original t-shirts.
