Touch of red

Hello there you dear Monday. Back to work ladies and gents!
I don’t know if it’s the case with you, but I rarely I have lots of time to get ready before leaving home. Lately, life quite runs quickly by the clock. However, there are exceptions, just like this weekend, were I pimped up my usual straight hair with a wavy look and, maybe for the first time, I wear hot red lipstick, which added a great match with the outfit and the colourful indian skirt I recently wore in a completely different style, check it out here. And I know, what a twisted combination of that rough skirt with the sequin, but hey, I needed to be ready for the night too, and the contrast was softened by the the transparent silk of the blouse.
Anyways, it was a girls day out with my mom and night’s out with my girlfriends, and a touch of red was it! Happy week!…

Colourful coolness

The good vibes are all over the place -hard work too though- and the little sunshine I manage to get during the day really cheers up the morning. Besides that, I’ve got into a new mood: music! My playlists might be old stuff and to be honest I’m not that type of person that seeks what’s rocking the top charts and is constantly updating the iPod. But lately, I’ve been so into new bands and a more alternative wave of music. And since I got that super cool pair of Urban Ears as a very special present I just happen to listen to a bit of music everyday, and I must say I’m enjoying it big times… The two perfect cheers ups!

Checkered shorts

It’s been a short while since I spotted this pair of checkered printed shorts in Zara and since I’ve been in love with all the black & white wave, plus completely in love with Louis Vuitton SS13 collection, I didn’t think it much. Not only that, it also has the neon detail on the back pocket, another thing going on when I go window shopping. It’s that sporty, yet stylish garment of the outfit. Also lately, I’ve been in the mood of wearing accessories on my head. In the search for it in my drawers, I found this old headband I wore as a bridesmaid for my cousin’s wedding. I just managed to find a pic from that day, see at the bottom…

Lace and peplum

This weekend the sun said hi, and the rain too… but after all it was a chilly happy sunny one. It was the opportunity to finally go bare legged and add a white breeze to welcome spring. And not only that but also to wear lace and why not that classic peplum. I even went for peplum over peplum with that jacket. It was the first time I wore my Jeffrey Campell’s lethal pointy pumps and mixed a classic look with with these on my feet. I can’t hide it. Although I love my all black outfits I was happy going for the pale shade and mixed it with new garments that have become oldish (just months) in my wardrobe such as the peplum dress and the eye clutch. Still in the monochrome mode. Black & White upside down

It’s been a long time of me saying ‘I’m wearing the stripes today…’ but for a reason I ended up with a complete different look. Therefore, this time I finally wore this new skirt and went for the complete black & white look. Just to start with the monochrome trend I’m loving so much. Hopefully next time I’ll be able to wear it bare legged… Spring Spring Spring…!

Indian skirt

Black, white, a splash of colour (poppy red and hot pink) and the indian wave that comes back every Spring -and that I, truly enjoy! There are so many indian styles in fashion, usually more hippie love, but this skirt goes for a more glamorous/chic tone. Anyhow, I’m definitely getting in the sunny mood, but I’m not ready to go bare legged yet, so tights and boots had to join the look. The bright colours are just a start. The great thing is that I feel it coming and that just a leather jacket will do the job, rather than the winter coats Ive used this year longer than usual…

Royal blue in the park

The sun was shining this weekend, still a bit chill though, but it was time to take out some colour out of the wardrobe, and wear a more relaxed look, just like this. Boyish, sporty but chic with the touch of royal blue blazer and clutch, which is my new item from Next’s leather collection. Of course, have to mention the men’s t-shirt I bought a while ago in a market in Colorado (USA)… just as I was wearing a grey jumper and a red bow. The perfect excuse for a walk in the park, breath fresh air and enjoy the sunlight for a day. Have a great lazy Sunday!

The 70s

Probably the sixties has embraced spring/summer, but for this outfit I got a little more inspiration from the 70s as soon as I spotted this old pair of jeans we used to call ‘bell bootcut’, it was quite a fun flashback. As you can see, the sunshine finally came out this weekend, so I put my cateye sunglasses on and boom! Will the spring finally land in town? Let’s hope!
