Styling business women
Aug 25th
What to wear at work? What to wear for business trips? These are quite common questions between the very workaholic modern women that travel around the globe with a small suitcase, but still need to look stylish. That’s why I teamed up with Maiden-Voyage, the social network for female business travellers; and Manifattura Donna, the Italian brand that styles them with top quality tailoring and designs by Dominka Mosz. We decided to put together three different outfits from Manifattura Donna’s collection and take Maiden Voyage’s founder, Carolyn Pearson as our model. Outfit 1 and 2 are styled with a simple black pencil skirt and two shirts from its ‘Be Flexible’ line. Outfit 3 ensembles the beauty of a classic and simple dress, inspired in the 1920s films, for other type of women. The uniqueness about these three is how you could change the looks by adding an accessory to the garment and therefore keep up with the different occasions business women can go through on quite a busy day.
You might know how much I like classic white shirts, so I was of course too tempted and decided to wear their Rafaella white shirt and added silk scarf on my neck as loose tie. Everyone off duties today?
Enjoy our video and have a great weekend!
Outfit of the day: A breeze of lace
May 25th
I can’t believe how HOT the weather was yesterday…So radical! It is so nice to see the sun back and the summer mood on the streets. I had a nice afternoon keeping myself busy with two events that made me run around London. First, I went to the Maiden Voyage & Maseratti champagne party at the Met Bar, where I had a lovely time meeting and catching up with great people. Later I ran to the St. Pancras Renaissance hotel, where My-Wardrobe team was waiting up at the Royal suite to showcase their S/S12 fashion garments from their best designers. I will give you more details of these two events on the next post, but today I wanted to show you what I wore for the different occasions, while it was so warm, reason for which I went straight for the pony tail – just to keep my hair in place.
I was practically bare legged (showing the tan I still have from Morocco), but you won’t believe what happened. Just after shooting the outfit I felt down on that pedestrian path you see on the photos, where the tree roots are, and crashed my leg so bad against the floor. I couldn’t believe the first day I was wearing a skirt and going to two fashion events this happened, it all became much better with a miracle cream (tea tree aid) and now I just laugh at sometimes’ luck. Anyways, I loved my outfit of a colourful lace shirt with lovely sparkles and the favourite long skirt in my closet so far! Oh, and don’t know if you can notice the leopard shirt underneath, ha!

Maiden Voyage’s founder, Carolyn Pearson, says HI to Fashion Inside Out from her holidays in the French Riviera and gives great advise to professional women that like to hangout in luxury places while business travelling to the world’s top cities like NY, LA and London. Also, she quickly explains how to get in touch with other ladies in the same city through her network www.maiden-voyage.com. Oh, and don’t miss the fashion brands she is planning to work with. Bon voyage!
