A morning of canoeing

By August 10, 2012 OUTFITS 1

While keeping up with the Olympics I went to the Canoe Sprint event earlier this week in a beautiful venue out of London, great for a slight change.

This time it was in Windsor, at Eton Dorney, just beside the river, where I watched and learnt about the different canoeing styles in a beautiful sunny and chilli morning. After getting a train from London and an Olympics shuttle from Windsor station I finally arrived to what is supposed to be Eton school’s rowing site.

For this I finally wore the Panama hat I haven’t seen for a long while, the very old school Gucci loafers and my two Links’ bracelets – the London 2012 limited edition (silver) and the Team GB one, which my mom gave me this week… yeah kind to support the other half of my blood.

It’s Friday and the Olympics will be over by Sunday night, so only 3 days left… It will actually be a bit depressing to go back to basics, don’t you think? Enjoy it and happy Friday! (Click MORE to see all photos!)

Flags on Regent’s Street

By July 26, 2012 NEW IN, OUTFITS 1

Here you go, another day around London and enjoying the warmest days of the year… HOT HOT HOT. I couldn’t believe I was wearing a comfy baggy dress and still, feeling too hot. This time I went to Picadilly and Regent’s Street, where the flags from all the countries taking part in the Olympics are hanging, and I, of course, spotted the Venezuelan flag! More than that, I was also twice on the big screens of the famous Picadilly ads, thanks to a fun time Samsung was offering by giving you a board cheering up your country, they then took a picture of you with their latest Android and sent it wireless to the huge screens, and there I was, check out the pictures! (30 seconds of fame). Also the Olympics mascots are all around the city greeting tourists and Londoners  and I spotted two more. How are you feeling the Olympics… and the heat? Have a fabulous day… one day to go! :)

Outfit of the day: Tourist soulmate

By July 24, 2012 OUTFITS 1

As I promised, here are some shots from my Sunday out and about in London, where Covent Garden was feeling the Games’ vibe, not only for all the decoration, but also for all the tourists around. Looking at the London Olympics’ mascots, I found my twin one dressed very similar to me, with a camera hanging on his neck, just like my shirt; an opened one over it, just like my jean shirt, and mustard trousers, just like mines! Could we have possibly planned it and get that close? No chance. Nothing like finding your copycat…or copycating? Anyways, let me introduce you to ‘Tourist Wenlock’, the single-eye mascot greeting visitors in the Covent Garden market during the Olympics. Also, isn’t that shirt the coolest? I spotted it at the market in Portobello Road, they’ve got the most original t-shirts.
