Touch of red

Hello there you dear Monday. Back to work ladies and gents!
I don’t know if it’s the case with you, but I rarely I have lots of time to get ready before leaving home. Lately, life quite runs quickly by the clock. However, there are exceptions, just like this weekend, were I pimped up my usual straight hair with a wavy look and, maybe for the first time, I wear hot red lipstick, which added a great match with the outfit and the colourful indian skirt I recently wore in a completely different style, check it out here. And I know, what a twisted combination of that rough skirt with the sequin, but hey, I needed to be ready for the night too, and the contrast was softened by the the transparent silk of the blouse.
Anyways, it was a girls day out with my mom and night’s out with my girlfriends, and a touch of red was it! Happy week!…

Polka dots swing

Don’t ask me why, but here I am again, saying hello to Friday swinging alone this polka dots skirt. Perhaps is that Friday feeling? Oh yes, and a big ‘Oh lala’ too!… Comparing to last week’s swing dress, this one is way more casual and sporty chic; and yes with just a bit of wind, a bit more revealing. It was cheering up my steps, but kept me watching up for the breeze… a bit of classic Marilyn Monroe’s blown up dress. Well, baggy jumper, but cheeky skirt, ha!

The good vibes are all over the place -hard work too though- and the little sunshine I manage to get during the day really cheers up the morning. Besides that, I’ve got into a new mood: music! My playlists might be old stuff and to be honest I’m not that type of person that seeks what’s rocking the top charts and is constantly updating the iPod. But lately, I’ve been so into new bands and a more alternative wave of music. And since I got that super cool pair of Urban Ears as a very special present I just happen to listen to a bit of music everyday, and I must say I’m enjoying it big times… The two perfect cheers ups!

Hello Friday, hello swing dress! This can be the serious and happy dress in one. Black and grey, long sleeves, covers you all up, it’s not short, yet not long, but it has that swing effect that comes just up to the knees and cheers your steps. Versatility.

Yellow plastic

From all this outfit there’s only one piece that you have not seen in here. Can you guess?… Yes, that yellow plastic necklace. All the plastic fantastic is the new trend in accessories, so left the H&M store with this piece, willing to pull it off with what’s in my wardrobe. Wearing for the second time this polka dots peplum jacket you saw on Valentine’s Day, mixing it with my classic leathers and maybe adding a mint tale back there.

Little Miss Sunshine

It was bank holiday yesterday with Good Friday, although I was still working in the afternoon, I went for a walk in London’s wonderful parks with family who were in town, and suddenly while in Hyde Park the sun shines! ‘Hurry, photo time!’ we said. Probably the photos are burned by the light, but it’s def a happy moment and a casual, but so easy look to wear with denim, jumper and boyish blazer.
It was right in front of this huge stunning heritage tree. I was nice to be surrounded my some green; can’t wait to see it full of colourful flowers in Spring!
Here you can see the one and only Hyde Park, Green Park and its surroundings, including the Buckingham Palace. Sometimes, a quick tourism ride in London reminds me of the lovely city I’m living in. Happy Easter!

Last weekend while wandering around Notting Hill’s popular and lovely Portobello Road market I spotted this jumper, together with other two at an absolutely amazing price, so just for fun I decided to bring them home with me. Isn’t the moustache fever in November or better said, Movember? Well, yes, but it stayed with us, and why not wear it with my geeky glasses. That’s another ‘yes I know’, you haven’t seen me in here with my glasses, not more than my first ever outfit post, I think, wearing actually this same polka dots old shirt. But this is truly who I am when working behind my computer or when watching a film. However, frames are so stylish now that I love wearing them and even making them part of the look. So, here’s a fun and geek new post with a reminder that the freezing cold is still amongst us. Almost happy Friday!
