Look at what I just received at my door! What an amazing surprise from stylist Carmen Gould on behalf of the now so popular Stella & Dot! As soon as I opened this box I got so excited with the small boxes inside it and just felt in love with the new jewellery joining my bracelets collection! It matches with my rock chic mood of spikes and studs… I will show them all in the upcoming post. Thanks for such a lovely surprise!
I think this is the first time you ever see me with an accessory on my head, well different from hats and that fascinator I wore once. But I recently received this hairband as a especial present from Venezuela, which I found so cool. With that Pegasus necklace from Stella & Dot, it gave a golden touch to the outfit I wore for a day that ended up at Westfield London, where Vogue and GQ magazine had the “Fashion Playground” event, which I will share next.
I must say that London’s weather has gone absolutely bipolar… rain, sun, rain, sun, rain, sun… Oh wait, massive storm, sun again… It has been difficult to dress properly for the weather. Yes, it is supposed to be Spring, but it’s not happening yet! However, I have found the times to take the utmost of the little sunshines, but yesterday I was prepared for the rain and cold. Btw, I found that sweater in a random vintage store, so that velvet flower print also added a little different touch to it. How has been your week so far?
Let me introduce you to one of my favourite spots in London for a casual lunch or even better, tea time. I can’t get much of those English ‘tea times’, but when I can, Fulham Palace is the choice, specially if the sun is shinning. Perhaps it could be the perfect excuse for a meeting? … I can’t talk about this place without mentioning how much I like its home-made alike food and cakes from The Drawing Room cafe. Plus, it has a happy family atmosphere with kids playing outside while ‘serious business adults’ like me (cough) watch from the inside, having a cup of tea. And that pink little house … I feel it was built specially for me and my short height, check out at that ‘me size’ small entrance door and ceiling! Overall, the whole Palace is stunning; beautiful gardens and architectures, nice walks and green views for a fresh deep breath.
Yes yes, I know London’s weather has not been the best for the past few days, so unfortunately while we look forward to our Spring wardrobe, ready-for-rain looks are the ones I have been wearing so far. However, this outfit with open toe heels was from last week, when the rain and the sun were still battling. Not even a scarf was needed so it was the perfect day to show off my colourful Stella & Dot necklace.
Welcome back to work to those travelling during bank holidays. Have a lovely day!
Last Wednesday the American jewelry label Stella & Dot showcased its Spring/Summer collection at the very gothic-British venue and church One Mayfair. Revealing some classical and unique pieces, this new brand has found its way to squeeze into London’s fashion industry since it was launched in the UK last October. Its all individually hand stitched necklace, Pegasus (£170), has been hitting the British press and became even more popular after X-Factor singer Janet wore it in a presentation following Alex Jones wearing it on Strictly Come Dancing. Pegasus was for sure one of my top 3, loved it, it can give you so much style and personality in different occasions, could be either sporty or chic. And the interesting bit about this brand is that Stella & Dot gives entrepreneurial opportunities for women by joining the team and becoming a ‘stylist’. The designs are quality pieces made by different semi precious stones and metals… I had a great time, and was very well impressed with the collection! Great introduction… I have nothing else to say than check out the pictures!..
Have a great weekend.
